Joliet Staffing is hiring a Forecast Analyst in Minooka, IL!
Job Title: Ripening Forecaster
Reports to: Ripening Manager
FLSA Status: Exempt
Salary: $47, 500-$52, 000
Benefits: Medical, Dental, AD&D
Job Purpose: The Ripening Forecaster assists the Ripening Manager in ensuring the efficient operation of the ripening facility within the warehouse. They work closely with customers and vendors to fulfill orders optimally, meeting customer standards and adhering to WCD procedures.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Utilize a forecasting model based on customer information, historical demand, and business capacity.
- Manage the continuous ripening cycle to meet demand and maintain product quality and shelf-life.
- Conduct required inbound inspections to ensure products meet criteria before the ripening process.
- Communicate anticipated changes in demand or supply to customers and the Distribution Center.
- Implement and maintain proper sanitation in the area.
- Implement a Preventive Maintenance program for rooms and equipment.
- Track and maintain records of customer feedback, taking corrective actions as necessary.
Education and/or Experience:
- Functional knowledge of:
- Banana Ripening Process
- Banana quality and maturation
- Knowledge of the banana supply chain
- Strong planning and organizational skills.
- Well-developed verbal and written communication skills with the ability to provide clear objectives and support for completion through subordinates.
Computer Skills:
- Strong computer skills required;proficient in Excel and all Microsoft automation.
- Preferred WMS skills required.
Reasoning Ability:
- Ability to interact with all levels of management with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage and lead a diverse workforce.
- Good organizational skills.
- Knowledge of Distribution Center operations.
- Strong sense of teamwork.
- Able to adhere to strict deadlines.

- Lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Working while standing for long periods.

- Certified on MHE Equipment (Electric Pallet Jack, Sit Down, Reach).
