Joliet Staffing is hiring a Freezer Production Supervisor for a leading food distribution center in Minooka, IL. We are seeking an experienced leader to oversee freezer production operations, supervise warehouse associates, and ensure products are handled safely, efficiently, and in compliance with food safety standards. The ideal candidate has experience in warehouse or food production supervision and thrives in a fast-paced, temperature-controlled environment.

Job Summary
The Freezer Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the freezer production department, including supervising production associates, coordinating workflow, ensuring inventory accuracy, and maintaining compliance with food safety and company standards. This role works closely with warehouse leadership to ensure production goals, quality expectations, and customer requirements are met safely and efficiently.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Supervise daily freezer production operations and lead a team of production associates.
- Assign daily work, monitor productivity, and ensure production schedules are met.
- Schedule employee work hours, breaks, vacations, and conduct performance evaluations in accordance with company policies.
- Ensure products are produced, handled, and stored according to food safety, quality, and customer specifications.
- Monitor production activities to maximize efficiency while minimizing waste and downtime.
- Coordinate with Shipping, Receiving, Inventory Control, and Warehouse Management to support daily operations.
- Investigate production discrepancies, inventory issues, and operational concerns, implementing corrective actions as needed.
- Ensure compliance with GMPs, HACCP, OSHA regulations, sanitation standards, and company policies.
- Promote and maintain excellent housekeeping and sanitation practices throughout the freezer production area.
- Ensure proper product identification, inventory accuracy, and documentation.
- Train, coach, and develop employees on production procedures, safety standards, and company expectations.
- Foster a positive, team-oriented work environment while maintaining productivity and accountability.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational performance.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Some college coursework in Business, Supply Chain, or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of supervisory experience in a warehouse, food manufacturing, or food distribution environment.
- Experience working in freezer or refrigerated warehouse operations preferred.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory control, and food safety regulations.
- Previous experience in the wholesale food industry is a plus.

Work Environment
- Fast-paced food distribution and freezer production environment.
- Exposure to freezing temperatures for extended periods.
- Regular interaction with forklifts, pallet jacks, warehouse equipment, and production machinery.
- Must follow all food safety, sanitation, OSHA, and company safety policies.
- Flexibility to work any shift, overtime, weekends, or holidays as business needs require.
