Position Summary
The Packers are responsible for inspecting, packing, and handling products in accordance with company standards. This role requires attention to detail, adherence to safety guidelines, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.




Job Title: Inspector

Department: Production

Reports To: Shift Supervisor

Pay Rate: $16.00-$16.75/HR

Schedule: 1st, 2nd, 3rd shifts available

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Perform inspection of products to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Pack finished goods in accordance with company requirements.
  • Operate assigned machinery and equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Follow established procedures for handling, labeling, and documenting products.
  • Assist with maintaining a clean and organized work area.
  • Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.



Marginal Functions
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support production operations.
Position Qualifications
Education:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic knowledge of arithmetic, spelling, English, and grammar required.

Experience:
  • No prior experience required.
  • Up to 6 months of on-the-job training may be necessary to gain sufficient skills to perform job requirements.

Skills and Abilities:
  • Language: Ability to read, write, and communicate at a basic level.
  • Mathematical: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using standard units of measure.
  • Reasoning: Ability to deal with problems involving standardized processes and procedures.
Machines, Tools, and Equipment
Experience or training may include the use of:
  • Capliner machines
  • Extrusion blow mold machines
  • Injection blow mold machines
  • Injection machines
  • Spin trimmers
  • Flamer, uprighter, and box machines
  • Leak inspection machines
Licenses/Certifications
  • None required
Physical/Visual Demands
  • Standing, walking, bending, lifting, pushing, carrying, reaching, grasping, talking, and hearing.
  • Requires mental and visual attention along with manual coordination.
  • Ability to see clearly at close and far distances, with peripheral vision, depth perception, and color distinction.
  • Medium to heavy work: exert up to 15 lbs. Of force continuously and up to 50 lbs. Frequently to move objects.
Work Environment
  • Exposure to moving mechanical parts, high temperatures, noise, and dust.
  • Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE) including hair nets, safety glasses, earplugs, and gloves.
