Job Title Kitchen Purchasing Agent
Salary: $47, 500 - $52, 000
Job Purpose: Support all aspects of the DCs and Admin purchasing
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintaining vendor files (credit applications, Insurance, W9s)
- Obtaining WCD vendor agreements: Vendor Letter, MVAs, W9s, COIs, etc.
- Support in filling out purchase requests and purchase orders;
- Help in sourcing products by searching out different vendors;
- Meet with the Accounting Manager, General Accounting Manager, and Group GM on any new vendors.
- Obtain competitive pricing by seeking multiple quotes from different vendors.
- tracking vendors through a spreadsheet with data such as: sales rep, phone, email, etc.
- Consult with: Accounting Manager, Group General Manager and all levels of DC Management
Qualifications:
- Good organizational skills
- Knowledge of DC operations
- Excellent customer service skills
- Strong sense of teamwork
- Ability to adhere to strict deadlines
- Must be able to effectively communicate in English (read, speak and write) as this position will require communication to vendors and the team
Education and/or Experience:
- Some college preferred
Computer Skills:
- Strong Excel (spreadsheets)
Reasoning Ability:
- Must be able to interact with all levels of management and have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must be able to manage and lead a diverse workforce.
Physical Demands:
