Pay Rate: $47, 500 $52, 000 annually

Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Maintenance Supervisor to join our team at a large food distribution center in Minooka, IL. This role is responsible for overseeing daily maintenance operations, ensuring equipment reliability, and supporting facility operations in a fast-paced distribution center (DC) environment. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership experience and a solid background in maintenance operations within food distribution or warehouse environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise daily maintenance operations within the distribution center
- Lead and support maintenance technicians to ensure efficient workflow and timely repairs
- Oversee preventative and corrective maintenance programs for facility equipment and machinery
- Ensure all maintenance activities comply with food safety standards, OSHA regulations, and company policies
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, conveyor, and facility equipment issues
- Coordinate emergency repairs to minimize operational downtime
- Monitor equipment performance and recommend process improvements
- Maintain maintenance logs, inspection records, and repair documentation
- Collaborate with warehouse and operations teams to maintain productivity and safety standards
- Assist with vendor coordination, parts inventory management, and maintenance scheduling
- Train and mentor maintenance staff on safety procedures and best practices
- Conduct routine inspections of facility systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and warehouse equipment
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a food distribution center (DC) environment required
- 2+ years of experience in a maintenance leadership or supervisory role preferred
- Strong knowledge of preventative maintenance programs and facility operations
- Experience working with conveyor systems, warehouse equipment, forklifts, or automation preferred
- Knowledge of food safety standards (FDA, USDA, GMPs)
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple maintenance needs in a fast-paced environment
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and maintenance management systems (CMMS)
Preferred Skills:
- Experience supervising maintenance teams in a high-volume distribution center
- Technical knowledge of electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and HVAC systems
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
- Welding, fabrication, or refrigeration experience is a plus
