Job Description
We are seeking a reliable Maintenance Technician to support day-to-day upkeep and repair operations in a busy food distribution center in Minooka, IL. The ideal candidate will have basic mechanical skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work safely in a fast-paced environment.
Job Title: Maintenance Technician
Location: Minooka, IL
Pay Rate: $17.00/HR
Schedule: 7: 00 AM Start Time
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and basic repairs on equipment, machinery, and facility systems
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues and assist with breakdowns to minimize downtime
- Conduct inspections to identify potential hazards or needed repairs
- Support sanitation and safety standards throughout the facility
- Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in clean and safe condition
- Assist with preventative maintenance tasks and documentation
- Follow all company, OSHA, and food safety regulations
- Work with supervisors and team members to complete maintenance requests
Qualifications:
- Previous maintenance or mechanical experience preferred (warehouse or food facility is a plus)
- Basic knowledge of hand tools, power tools, and mechanical systems
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on your feet throughout the shift
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work in varying temperatures within a food distribution environment
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team
