Now Hiring: Receiving Clerk Food Distribution Center (3rd Shift)
Location: Minooka, IL
Schedule: 3rd Shift | Start Time: 11: 00 PM
Job Summary
We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Receiving Clerk to join our team at a fast-paced food distribution center in Minooka, IL. The Receiving Clerk is responsible for receiving, inspecting, and processing incoming shipments while ensuring accuracy, quality, and compliance with company and food safety standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Receive and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and shipping documents.
- Inspect products for damage, shortages, and quality concerns.
- Accurately enter receiving information into the warehouse management system.
- Label, organize, and route products to the appropriate storage locations.
- Maintain inventory accuracy and report discrepancies as needed.
- Communicate with warehouse personnel, drivers, and supervisors regarding deliveries and inventory issues.
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures.
- Operate warehouse equipment as required and authorized.
- Maintain a clean and organized receiving area.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous receiving, warehouse, inventory, or logistics experience preferred.
- Basic computer and data entry skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand, walk, bend, and reach throughout the shift.
- Experience working in a food distribution or cold storage environment is a plus.
