A loss prevention manager must have excellent analytical skills to quickly analyze a situation and determine if a crime is taking place. Excellent communication skills are also important for a loss prevention representative to properly interact with his/her staff, interview suspects and train employees, to properly use all the tools at her/his disposal, a loss prevention manager must have a thorough knowledge of the latest computer and video technology. He/She must also be familiar with criminal laws and how those laws apply to his/her job.

- Manages the financial reporting of all Loss Prevention.
- Designs, creates, and implements Loss Prevention planning for all sites.
- Reviews records for accuracy of information and compliance with established procedures and to determine adequacy levels of merchandise working with the Inventory control Manager for all sites.
- Schedules work for special and periodic inventories.
- Determines work procedures, prepares work schedules, and expedites workflow.
- Issues written and oral instructions.
- Assigns duties and examines work for exactness, neatness, and conformance to policies and procedures.
- Studies and standardizes procedures to improve efficiency of subordinates.
- Train employees to spot theft and to stop theft
- Responsible to handle all criminal activities
- Adjusts errors and complaints.
- Other duties may be assigned as necessary.
