Job Title: Tool Room Technician
Reports To: Tool Room Supervisor
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 6: 00 AM - 2: 30 PM
Pay Rate: $20-25/HR
Benefits: Medical, Dental, AD&D
Job Summary
The Tool Room Technician supports Tool Room operations by assisting with mold and tool preparation, cleaning, organizing, and performing basic maintenance tasks. This is a hands-on role ideal for individuals seeking to gain experience and grow within the tool and die field.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist Tool & Die Makers with mold/tool preparation and teardown.
- Perform basic polishing, cleaning, and assembly of mold parts.
- Organize and maintain tooling inventory and storage areas.
- Retrieve and return tools as requested by machinists or production staff.
- Perform minor maintenance on machines (e.G., cleaning, oiling).
- Label, package, and track tool components for repair or replacement.
- Maintain cleanliness and safety of the work area.
- Follow food safety and sanitation protocols when working with production tooling.
- Wear proper PPE and comply with all safety policies.

Education & Experience
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Basic mechanical aptitude or shop experience preferred.
- Willingness to learn and grow in tool/die or machining work.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. And stand for extended periods.
- Dependable and punctual.
- Follows instructions and safety procedures.
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
- Team-oriented and cooperative.
