We are looking for an experienced warehouse supervisor to manage and oversee all warehouse activities, ensure efficient processes, and maximize warehouse productivity. The warehouse supervisor's responsibilities include supervising employees, coordinating logistical processes, ensuring the quality of goods, and preparing relevant documentation.
Job Title: Warehouse Supervisor
Pay Rate: $26/hr | Benefits: Medical, Dental, AD&D
Duties and Responsibilities:
Plan, organize, supervise and participate in daily warehouse operation and activities
Train, supervise and evaluate the performance of assigned warehouse employees;assign workloads to warehouse workers
Tracking and coordinating the receipt, storage and timely delivery of goods and materials
Route, schedule, pack and prepare orders for truck delivery
Prepare and maintain a variety of records and logs
Operate and demonstrate use of specialized warehouse equipment such as forklift, cherry picker, etc.;assure proper and routing maintenance and servicing of warehouse equipment
Maintain warehouse in a clean, safe and orderly condition
Assist management in establishing warehouse standards and procedures
Communicating and coordinating with other department.
Ordering supplies
Perform other duties as assigned
Maintain regular attendance
Knowledge and Abilities:
Knowledge of:
Warehouse and stock control methods and procedures
Methods of shipping and receiving
Operation of a forklift and other assigned equipment
Warehouse operations, procedures and equipment and terminology
Inventory methods and practices
Principles and practices of training and providing work direction
Interpersonal skills using tact, patience and courtesy
Ability to:
Plan, organize, supervise and participate in the operations and activities of the warehouse
Train, supervisor and evaluate personnel
Maintain Inventory
Communicate effectively both orally and in writing
Operate warehouse equipment
Receive, issue, store and return warehouse stock and supplies
Lift, move, sort and store objects 50lbs or greater
Plan and schedule work
Common knowledge or computers and the ability to learn warehouse related software
Problem solving skills
Work independently
Read, interpret, apply and explain rules, regulations, policies and procedures
Physical Demands:
Work is performed while standing, sitting and/or walking
Requires the ability to communicate effectively
Required bending, climbing, reaching, etc.
Requires the ability to lift, carry, push or pull weights of 50 pounds or greater
Education Experience:
High school diploma or better and a minimum of 1-2 years warehouse supervisory
experience
License and other requirements:
Valid Illinois driver s license
